Everything about Astragalia is making the customer feel special, and they certainly do that with their passion for food, drinks and ambience. So welcoming on arrival. Beautifully presented tables. So clean and attention to detail superb. Such a special menu consisting of local produce and dishes created with passion. The giant bean starter is the best we have ever tasted. Homemade focaccia. Followed by delicious large shrimps with homemade ketchup. Beer from a local microbrewery too. Service was brilliant! Chris & Nigel
Tiny little place in Antipata or Andipati depending on which direction you are approaching. Have a supermarket attached, try to greet in Greek if you can, lovely people and nice selection of local produce.
We found this amazing place had drinks first night and went back following evening for an evening meal.Wowwwww best food in kefalonia, hosts were amazing and very welcoming.Can't wait to come back next year.AMAZING FIND.
We were staying down the road at the Emilese hotel, where the food is honestly sub par.We came across this lovely restaurant on Google maps and decided to give it a try.The smaller menu just meant the chefs are able to make the dishes perfectly. The food certainly did not disappoint, the lamb was so juicy delicious and tender.Highly recommended for people staying in this area to give this restaurant a try.

very friendly host who took the time to explain the dishes and gave us complementary homemade focaccia. would recommend the bruschetta, calamari, however, was dissatisfied with the tomato and aubergine pasta which was slightly undercooked and too salty for my taste
We had a very good time! I was with my wife and my adult son, an adjective to describe the whole context: genuine and lively, as a place the size of the location is certainly more suitable for couples but it's just my opinion the rest was all a surprise from the fish with cheeses that the owners produce themselves. I definitely recommend it. I won't say what the type of fish is, the owner will tell you when you've finished eating it, there's a bit of mystery otherwise what a surprise it is!. For those between Dafnudi and kibilia dessert was also great warm friendly staff.
Amazing food! I loved the combination of Italian and Greek cuisine. Their ingredients are fresh and local choices , fish was catch of the day. Don’t miss to ask for the local cheese !
If you are looking for the usual Greek tavern, you are in the wrong place.If, on the other hand, you want to take a journey through refined and authentic flavors then you are in the right place.A balanced mix of Italian and Greek food culture. Astragalia is an authentic and pleasant surprise.Essential and well-studied menu with daily grafts with truly excellent raw materials.Merit mention goes to the amazing mullet tartare with small onion grafts, capers, mustard and bottarga and to the tagliatelle with bottarga and taramosalata (off menu)We continue with mixed fried fish and vegetables, lamb accompanied by an excellent caponata that is so reminiscent of Sicily.The local white wines bottled without labels are also excellent.
Great place for a nice dinner just 5 minutes by car from Fiskardo. Claudia and Nicòla are great hosts and the food was delicious (we had taramosalata with yummy homemade focaccia, riganada and moussaka for starters; goat with fresh potato chips and tzatziki, fried shrimps with pepper’s chutney and fried calamari with homemade ketchup as main dishes; couple of very good espressos to finish)! We arrived by sailboat in the afternoon and they gave us couple of taxi contacts too. If you are looking for an authentic Greek dinner with a nice Italian touch, this is your go to restaurant in Antipata/Fiskardo! We will come back again next time!
August 20 afternoon... for a three pack coffee I waited 20 whole minutes and without another customer in front of me, during the payment they did not accept a card (due to the €6 amount, as they told me)...

Great authentic cuisine and no grill greek - even the simplest pasta tastes amazing! Great wines, great food and great service! The Kefallonian salad, the white beans, the tzatziki, the bruschetta - everything has its own flavor and it gets an A.

We enjoyed a beautiful meal at Astragalia Restaurant this evening- everything was perfect! The table - under the Bougainvillea was so pretty, the people who work here are so welcoming, professional and helpful, and everything we ate was fresh and delicious. From the cocktails, to the focaccia, the salads, gnocchi and beyond - we ate very well indeed. Thank you so much!
This place is quite unassuming by the side of the road through the village but don't miss out on it, the food is delicious, really well done and a mix of traditional and slightly more unusual dishes. The service is super friendly, the whole experience was lovely. Highly recommended!
Superb small independent restaurant.Highly recommend the cheese and meat platter, with a variety of their own cheeses.We could tell how passionate the owner and chef are about the food, which was all genuinely fantastic.A really small menu of perfected dishes, made with fresh and in season ingredients. Exactly how this type of restaurant should be.Highly recommended.

If you are in to something different than the common tavernas, try this place. We had an very tasteful lunch in a relaxed atmosphere, owner is superfriendly, and the beer from draught was an really good pale ale, made in a micobrewery from his brother in law. Highly recommended.
We stopped off en route from Fiskardo to Lassi & had the most tasty calamari with homemade ketchup! So good, thank you 🙏🏽
What a lovely little restaurant with a small but perfectly formed menu to suit all 7 of us! We had bread, with olive oil and locally collected salt to start. Then we shared 2 fish platters and a Kefalonia salad between 5 or us and the others had pasta and shrimp. Finished off with panacotta x 7! The sour cherry and apricot juice is also refreshing and the service was fabulous! A Greek restaurant with a hint of Italy 🥰
Great place to eat and very hospitable staff. The owner was clearly passionate and knowledgeable about food and was happy to describe the menu and suggest food and wine pairings. The food was amazing, and the flavours great, the best meal we've had on the island. Really nice atmosphere and location to eat. Would recommend it if you're on the North side of the island. The next day we stopped late whilst the staff were eating their food and they happily served us both drinks and gave advice for travelling around the island. Definitely go, you won't be disappointed
What an amazing experience. You have to go!! The food is wonderful....a simply superb menu. Plus the Italian wine selection is outstanding. And the husband and wife owners are so lovely and helpful. We can't wait to go back. Thank you!!
Small portions, nothing to eat. More like snacks place than a restaurant. Basic food service and is very expensive for what it is! After starter and main dishes we ends up in next door groceries shop to buy something to eat. If you hungry please help yourself to go across the road restaurant. It is not the best but we found ways better than this one.
A new addition to kefalonia but hope it stands the test of time....Still sat here and had to review. Shared a selection of starters of bruscetta and the ox tongue. Went straight to the sharing platter of meats and cheeses which included one of the owners own cheese. If you are a lover of charcuterie get out of fiskardo now and come to this place 5 minutes away. The description of cheeses and order in which to eat them was an amazing experience and the wine choices are exquisite. Will be back year after year. Be sure to book a table as I'm sure this place will start to become very busy soon.
Delicious food. Could not recommend more. Chef was friendly, willing to adapt with local, seasonal produce. Excellent homemade meats, local cheeses and superb wine. Great spot and fantastic service.
We absolutely love Astragalia. Visited twice during our stay in Fiskardo. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and talking to a proper foodie like Nicolos who runs the restaurant with his partner was a pleasure. Delicious homemade pastries and coffee are on site too, make sure you take a piece of the apricot tart with you if it’s on offer!Make sure you let We will be definitely coming back next time we are visiting Kefalonia.
Truly delightful Italian and Greek dishes served with knowledgeable and thoughtful advice and charm. Our first choice for any visit to Kefalonia! Definitely order the homemade crisps, and the menu highlights include their own cheeses, olive oil, tuna bresaola, delicious pasta and lovely versions of Greek fare.
Charming, everything absolutely delicious and menu was unique with local ingredients. Nicolos and his team made our experience special and we knew we would come back before the second course was served. Try the cheese Nicolos makes and let him choose your wine.
Fantastic food - homemade pastries, delicious Cured meats and cheese to have in or takeaway, as well as full menu of classic Greek cuisine. The couple who own the restaurant were so lovely, we went back most days, either for a pastry pit-stop after a trek or for drinks/nibbles before and after dinner! Highly recommend.
Astragalia is a really special restaurant. After finding it on Google maps. We asked our hotel and they recommended.We had a lovely dinner. The owner was extremely helpful in advising on the wine and going through the menu with us. They were very attentive throughout dinner checking if everything was ok and if we needed anything.What I really liked was that the dinner was not rushed and everything was not brought out super quickly. Unlike most of the restaurants we have been too on the island.It was a great evening with great food. I would highly recommend it.

A great wine list and draught lager from a micro-brewery, will beautifully complement a memorable evening.

We found Astragalia on Google looking for restaurants in or near Fiscardo, what a gem great hospitality great food without the pressure selling within the bay just travel a few minutes out of Fiscardo for a home cooked traditional Greek meal from the knowledgeable owners. Pete.

I've been traveling to Kefallonia for almost 30 years, mostly staying in and around Fiscardo. Our meal at Astragalia was unquestionably the best we've had on this holiday but possibly my best meal EVER on the island! Delicate flavours, different ideas, and a mix of the new and traditional. That our meal sent me home imagining what of it I could recreate back in England is testament in itself to the restaurant's excellence.
Incredible, fresh, home-made food with the flavours balanced perfectly. Owned by a Greek & Italian so it's the best of both worlds. Gorgeous decor and have a little deli shop inside. 3/4 minute drive from Fiskardo - a definite must visit.
